Chestnut Festival at Monte Corno 2026 in Nago

Every October, when the chestnuts on Monte Corno are ready, the Associazione Castagneto Monte Corno di Nago opens the chestnut grove above the village for a day of celebration. It is not a typical fair: you reach the grove on foot, a roughly 15-minute walk from the Coel car park, following signs for Monte Corno and the Castagneto.

On site you will find sandwiches with carne salada, mortadella spread and sausage, desserts, drinks and, of course, freshly roasted chestnuts. Live music accompanies lunch and the afternoon, in a simple atmosphere suited to families and walkers.

Private cars are not allowed, for safety and space reasons: those who struggle to walk can use the free shuttle, departing from Torbole at 11:00 and from Nago at 11:15, subject to availability. The event is cancelled in case of rain.

Castagnata al Monte Corno takes place on Sunday, 11 October 2026, from 11:00 to 17:00, in the chestnut grove above Nago (Nago-Torbole). Meeting point: Coel car park, then a 15-minute walk following the signs. Food prices are confirmed on site.
