Peschiera del Garda
Peschiera del Garda is the southern gateway to the lake, a pentagonal Venetian fortress that has been a UNESCO heritage site since 2017. The historic center is an artificial island enclosed by walls and canals, crossed by the Mincio River, which flows out of the lake here.
Starting point of the famous Mincio cycle path to Mantua and the cycle path to Sirmione and Desenzano. Train station directly on the lake, making it the most convenient access point for those arriving by train.
