Manerba del Garda
Lombardia
Manerba del Garda is one of the gems of the Valtenesi, on the Brescian shore of Lake Garda. Between hills covered with DOC Valtenesi vineyards, centuries-old olive groves and an indented coastline of coves and free beaches, it is one of the most popular bathing spots on the Brescian shore.
The area includes the famous Rocca di Manerba — a 216-metre rocky spur, today a Regional Nature Reserve — the Isola di San Biagio (the “Rabbit Island”) reachable on foot when the lake is low, and a network of historic hamlets such as Pieve Vecchia, Solarolo, Balbiana, Gardoncino and Montinelle.
