A Four-Decade Legacy

The Rock Master of Arco celebrates 40 years as the most prestigious and longest-running sport climbing competition in the world. Since 1987, the artificial walls of Arco have witnessed the world’s best climbers competing in spectacular evening events that combine sport, entertainment, and pure adrenaline.

The Competition Format

The event takes place on the Rock Master wall, an illuminated facility that allows for night competitions with a great sporting event atmosphere. The disciplines in competition are lead climbing, bouldering, and dueling—an exclusive Rock Master format where two athletes face off head-to-head on the same route.

Elite Athletes and Spectacle

The athlete lineup includes Olympic, world, and European climbing champions—the best climbers from every generation who return to Arco each year for the most coveted trophy on the circuit. Open-air stands welcome thousands of spectators in a stadium-like atmosphere.

Program and Access

The schedule includes daytime qualifications and evening finals, award ceremonies, side events for the public, an expo area with climbing brands, and trial activities for beginners. Admission is free. Arco is reachable from Riva del Garda in 10 minutes, in the heart of Garda Trentino’s outdoor region.
