The Fortress with a View of Garda Island

The Castle of San Felice del Benaco is a fourteenth-century medieval fortress that dominates from the top of a panoramic hill the center of the town and Lake Garda. From here you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Garda Island, the largest island in the lake, which appears to float just a few hundred meters from the shore.

The Fortress

The castle preserves the original defensive structure with a square tower, crenellated perimeter walls, and an arched entrance portal. The village that develops around the fortress has maintained its medieval character with narrow alleys, houses built in local stone, and a warm, authentic atmosphere.

San Felice and Surroundings

San Felice del Benaco is an ideal starting point for visiting Garda Island (boat service from Porto Portese), Wind Bay, and the beaches of Valtenesi. The town is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards that produce the excellent Garda DOP extra virgin olive oil and Chiaretto della Valtenesi wine.
