Bardolino Consortium Centenary 1926-2026

One hundred years ago, in 1926, the «Consorzio di difesa del vino tipico Bardolino» was founded in Bardolino, one of Italy’s very first wine consortiums; in 1969 it became today’s Consorzio di tutela, which now brings together more than 800 members across 2,400 hectares and accounts for 92% of Bardolino and Chiaretto production. The Centenary is celebrated from October 9-11, 2026, right after the harvest, which this year began on September 14 with healthy grapes and around 20 million bottles expected.

It’s a chance to discover the three wines of the Veronese shore, Bardolino, Chiaretto and Bardolino Superiore DOCG with its Montebaldo, La Rocca and Sommacampagna subzones, and to visit the wineries during the most interesting time of year.
