Lake Garda 42 – Marathon between Limone and Malcesine

Lake Garda’s most scenic marathon returns Sunday, April 12, 2026. Starting at 9:00 a.m. from Limone’s Lungolago Marconi, 42 km of spectacular running along the Gardesana Occidentale to Malcesine, through tunnels, breathtaking views of the lake and postcard-perfect climbs.

A race loved by runners from all over Europe for the unique setting, with gourmet refreshments and plenty of celebration at the finish line. SS45bis remains closed from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. to allow athletes to pass through.

It is one of the most beautiful sporting events on the Garda: it is worth being there if only to cheer from the villages along the route.
