Brescia

Lombardia

Brescia, the Lioness of Italy, is a city that surprises with the richness of its historical and artistic heritage. The monumental complex of Santa Giulia and the Roman Capitolium are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, evidence of more than 3,000 years of uninterrupted history from prehistory to the present day.
The Brescia Castle, perched on the Cidneo Hill, offers a panoramic view over the city and the plain as far as the Pre-Alps. The historic centre winds its way between Piazza della Loggia, an elegant Renaissance square, and Piazza Paolo VI with its two flanking cathedrals, the Romanesque Duomo Vecchio and the Baroque Duomo Nuovo.
