The Vittoriale degli Italiani launches Vittoriale Lab: the workshop of the possible, a national ideas competition for under-25s, supported by the Lombardy Region with creative input from Factanza. There is no cash prize: those selected join a programme of training, mentorship and visibility that ends in Gardone Riviera with the collective writing of the “Manifesto of the Future”.
Who can take part
Applications are open to young people resident or domiciled in Italy who have not yet turned 25 on 30 October 2026. Taking part is free and individual: no qualifications, technical skills or professional experience are required.
The three challenges
Each application develops an original idea on one of the three tracks set by the call:
- Nature and Artifice — reinventing sustainability through culture;
- Digital Squares — new forms of community in the age of artificial intelligence;
- The Augmented Body — new identities between physical space and virtual reality.
How to apply
By 30 October 2026 you send, through the Vittoriale website, a video presentation of up to three minutes and a written proposal of up to three pages. A jury of experts selects the semi-finalists, who take a video interview; that second stage produces the ten who come to the lake.
Two days at the Vittoriale
On 30 and 31 January 2027 the ten selected take part in the Workshop of the Possible, a residential creative lab inside the Vittoriale led by innovation experts, entrepreneurs and creative professionals. The initial ideas are tested and reworked together; on 31 January 2027 the programme closes with the public presentation of the “Manifesto of the Future”, a collective text and performance work.
With this project president Giordano Bruno Guerri continues his search for Italian genius, looking at talents still to be discovered, in a place Gabriele d’Annunzio built to anticipate the languages and forms of his own time.
