Canyoning (or canyoning) is one of the most adrenaline-pumping experiences Garda has to offer. Gorges carved by water in the mountains surrounding the lake create spectacular routes through waterfalls, pools and natural slides.
The most beautiful canyons
1. Rio Nero – Tignale
The most famous canyon in the area. Walls up to 50 meters high, waterfalls, dives into emerald pools and rope rappels. Medium difficulty, also suitable for beginners.
2. Leno Valley – Vallagarina
Technical and spectacular canyon with a 100-foot waterfall and deep pools. Duration about 3-4 hours. For those with previous experience.
3. Vione – Tremosine
Very narrow and evocative gorge with incredible light effects between the walls. Intermediate level. The descent takes about 2.5 hours.
4. Palvico – Ledro Valley
Long and varied canyon with swimming sections, rappels and natural slides. One of the most complete in the area. 4-5 hours.
5. Rio Sec – Dro
Canyon suitable for beginners with shallow dives and easy rappels. Perfect for first experience. About 2 hours.
