Arco
Trentino-Alto Adige
Arco is a small town in Trentino’s Upper Garda region, on the Sarca plain a few kilometers from Riva del Garda. Dominated by the famous medieval castle on a rocky spur, it is the European capital of sport climbing with world-famous crags and the Rock Master Festival. The mild microclimate and proximity to the lake allow the growth of olive trees and Mediterranean plants, making it a popular resort since Habsburg times. Between the Arciducale Park, the alleys of the historic center, and the olive groves at the foot of the castle, Arco is the ideal base for outdoor sports, history, and authentic flavors in the heart of Garda Trentino.
