The lakeside promenade from Moniga to Padenghe is a relaxing walk along the Valtenesi coast, where sandy beaches, olive groves and the outline of medieval castles accompany every step. An easy 7.4 km route, perfect for families with children and those seeking a peaceful walk with the possibility of swimming.
The Route
It starts at the harbour of Moniga del Garda, dominated by the medieval fortress on the hill above the village. The path runs south-east along the lake, alternating stretches of promenade with short detours inland between olive groves and vineyards in the Chiaretto area.
The beaches along the route are among the most beautiful on the Brescia side of the lake: shallow waters, fine sand and a peaceful atmosphere make them ideal for families. The beaches of Lido di Moniga and Padenghe are equipped with establishments and services.
Padenghe and its castle
The arrival in Padenghe is dominated by the Castle, a perfectly preserved medieval fortress overlooking the harbour. The historic centre of the village is worth a stroll through the narrow stone streets, with craft shops and small restaurants where you can enjoy lake fish.
