Cascata del Varone

The Cascata del Varone is a one-of-a-kind natural spectacle, located just 3 km from Riva del Garda. The water plunges nearly 100 metres into a gorge carved in the rock over 20,000 years of erosion. The Parco Grotta Cascata del Varone, open since 1874, lets you approach the waterfall on two levels: the lower cave, where the power of the water is truly impressive, and the upper cave, which offers an aerial view over the ravine. The circular hike starts from Riva del Garda, passes through the village of Varone and reaches the park, with the option to extend the route towards Lago di Tenno.
