Sponde: Freshwater Fish on the Table 2026

“Sponde. Pesce d’acqua dolce in tavola” is the 2026 edition of the festival dedicated to lake fish, part of the Mese del Gusto Garda Trentino. Four events across Riva del Garda, Arco and Torbole showcase lake cuisine through aperitifs, dinners and an open-air market, featuring dishes based on whitefish, trout and other lake species.

The programme opens on Friday 25 September with the gourmet aperitif “Creek Chic” at Palazzo Martini, followed on Saturday 26 by the exclusive dinner “Fizz & Fish” at Monastero Arx Vivendi in Arco, already sold out. On Sunday 27 September, “Fresh Routes” takes place at the Frizzi nursery in Riva del Garda, while on Saturday 3 October the festival closes with “Pesce in Piazza” in Torbole, an open-air market and tasting event in Piazza Lietzmann. It’s a chance to discover the lake’s culinary tradition in a relaxed, convivial setting.
